The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It has a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do, to identify your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is built into the charging base. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning process at the touch of the button. You can select a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as rice and cereal. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum performs well on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do and can pick up pet hair with ease. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot promises it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price cost.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on more expensive models. Its mopping system is superior as its spinning pads scrub your floors much more effectively than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The only downside is that it doesn't have a second rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's an acceptable cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. The two mopping settings that it has that are less powerful than high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it encounters the wall or a furniture piece it gently smacks into it and moves forward.

What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash to the hidden bin and also washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something needs attention, such as the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms in order to personalize the way Q Revo handles your home. That's a handy feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's clutter that must be removed regularly, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up dirt from carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The vacuum mop cleaner robot X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you can wish for. It comes with a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a complete cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even when you're not at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the most effective robot at mopping. Its mop pads that rotate remove tough stains and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, and it increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that offers a number of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It can build precise floor maps, recognize various flooring types, and it's one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are nice, but they also place the L10s in the premium category. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.

It is designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish accented by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine has a large bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially is a switch for on and off. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, while clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel lets you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open the settings menu in which you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop with ease, without getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for households with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors, and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. The mops also work well, removing 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
